Awegust: A Summer of Awe
Brew and Feed was so busy and inspired in August that we decided to rename it 'AweGust'. In AweGust, we released six new seasoning blends, participated in the Barrel and Flow Festival in Pittsburgh, PA, and conducted two collaboration brew days with local breweries.
Barrel and Flow Festival
Brew and Feed took its talents to Pittsburgh once again for the Barrel and Flow Festival. We served our craft brews and sold our spices and sauces during the event. Barrel & Flow is about more than just beer. It utilizes the brewing industry to connect opportunity, accessibility, and artistry in ways that celebrate and empower the Black community.
Seasoning Blend Releases
In August Brew and Feed announced the launch of six new, tantalizing seasoning blends. These blends are designed to uplift home cooks, bringing bold flavors and creative inspiration to kitchens everywhere. Each blend has been carefully crafted to offer unique, flavorful experiences that cater to a variety of tastes and culinary traditions.
Craft Beer Collabs
We brewed two collaboration beers with local breweries. The first was our American Barleywine recipe, which we brewed with NODA Brewing Company, adding dates to give it some fall flavors. For the second batch, we put a spin on our Mighty Ale Belgian Strong Ale with Ghostface Brewing. It will receive a prickly pear treatment in the fermenter, adding a sweet, melon-like fruitiness with hints of strawberry and watermelon. This fruity essence will be bright and refreshing, complementing the more traditional stone fruit esters found in our strong ale.
