Ingredients

¾ cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 3 cups white bread flour

1-½ Tbsp dry milk powder

1-½ Tbsp sugar
-
1-½ tsp salt

3 Tbsp potato flakes
-
½ cup sour cream
-
3 tsp active dry yeast
Directions
- Activate Yeast: Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit until frothy (about 5-10 minutes).
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix flour, potato flakes, dry milk, and salt.
- Mix Dough: Add yeast mixture and sour cream to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead: Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1-1.5 hours).
- Shape and Proof: Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise again for 30-40 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Cool: Let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
